OCSC’s Secretary General welcomes China Economic Cooperation Center’s Deputy Director General and team

On 18 January 2023, Mr. Piyawat Sivaraks, Secretary-General at the Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC), led a team of officials to meet with Mr. Liu Jing Hwa, Deputy Director General at the China Economic Cooperation Center (CECC), and his team on their visit to the OCSC to discuss potential partnership on people development.

Royal Civil Service Commission, Bhutan discusses civil service workforce management with OCSC

On 24 November 2022, Ms. Alinee Thanawatsuggasari, OCSC’s Senior Adviser, together with the officials, welcomed Dr. Dasho Ugyen Tshewang, Focal Commissioner and Ms. Pema Deki, Assistant Human Resource Officer from the Royal Civil Service Commission (RCSC), Bhutan. The objective of this meeting was for both sides to share perspectives on civil service workforce management, training and development, and government scholarships as well as recent challenges and plans for the future in order to enhance human resource management.

Japan’s National Personnel Authority visits OCSC to discuss flexible working and digitalization in HR management

On 31 October 2022, Mrs. Kamonwan Sattayayut, OCSC’s Director of the Bureau of the Secretariat, together with the officials, welcomed Ms. Satoko Maeda, Director of the International Affairs Division, and Mr. Yosuke Tsuji, an international officer of the International Affairs Division from the National Personnel Authority (NPA), Japan on their visit to the OCSC to learn about the Thai civil service human resource management and share their perspectives.

Visiting of Bangladesh Delegation to OCSC

1 May 2019 | OCSC welcomed the 2nd batch of Senior Government Officials from Bangladesh from the “Policy Planning and Management Course,” organized by Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). This study visit to the OCSC aimed to enhance the delegation’s perspectives on human resource management based on Thailand’s experiences.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the overview of Thailand’s civil service HR systems, OCSC’s roles and responsibilities, merit systems protection, talent management systems of the Thai civil service, particularly on the High Performance and Potential System (HiPPS) Program, as well as challenges facing the public service in the 21st century.

The Chairmanship of the 20th ASEAN Cooperation on Civil Service Matters (ACCSM)

Thailand’s Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC) began its Chairmanship of the 20th ASEAN Cooperation on Civil Service Matters (ACCSM) during 2019 - 2020 with the Preparatory Meeting for the 20th ACCSM on April 22 - 23, 2019, followed by the Senior Officials Meeting for the 20th ACCSM on April 24, 2019 at the Riverie by Katathani Hotel in Chiang Rai Province.

Potential Cooperation on Human Resource Management between Thailand and Kenya

On 6 March 2019, H.E. Mr. Patrick Simiyu Wamoto, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Kingdom of Thailand, accompanied by Mr. James Otsuila Nyongesa, First Secretary, paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Methini Thepmani, the Secretary General of the Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC) upon the completion of his duty in Thailand before assuming his new position as a Commissioner of Public Service Commission of Kenya.

Study Visit of Bangladesh Delegation to OCSC

25 February 2019, OCSC welcomed Senior Government Officials from Bangladesh on a Study Visit Program organized by Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). This study visit to the OCSC aimed to broaden their perspectives on human resource management based on Thailand’s experiences.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on an overview of OCSC’s roles and responsibilities, emphasizing on the difference of civil servants management systems in central and provincial agencies and local agencies. Following a big picture of civil servants management, there was a presentation on Merit System and sharing of experiences on execution of Merit System Protection in Thai Civil Service.

OCSC signed the MoU on Academic Cooperation for Development of E-learning

21 February 2019, Mr. Wissanu Krea-ngam, Deputy Prime Ministers, presided over the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding on academic cooperation for development of e-learning via information network system held between Office of the Civil Service Commission and 16 public organizations and educational institutes.

The objectives of the MoU are to promote and develop quality of teaching and training based on information and communication technology; to utilize joint educational and training resources; and extend opportunity for education and development to government officers and citizen, through providing of quality and standard E-Learning network from internal and international organizations and institutes.

Promoting Educational Cooperation between Ireland and Thailand

On 8 February 2019, Mrs. Methini Thepmani, the Secretary General of the Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC), along with Mrs. Chutima Hanpachern, the Deputy Secretary General of the OCSC and Mrs. Siriwan Menabhodi, the Director of the Executive Staff Office, welcomed H.E. Mr. Joseph Anthony Cotter, in an occasion of newly appointed Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of Thailand at OCSC office.

Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Office of the Civil Service Commission of the Kingdom of Thailand (OCSC) and the Ministry of Civil Service of the Kingdom of Cambodia (MCS)

Office of the Civil Service Commission of the Kingdom of Thailand (OCSC) and the Ministry of Civil Service of the Kingdom of Cambodia (MCS) agreed to build cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on civil service human resource and institutional development. The MOU signing took place at the Ministry of Civil Service, Phnom Penh, the Kingdom of Cambodia on the 14th January 2019.
