Public Workforce Resizing Strategy

As part of the public workforce resizing strategy, the Office of the Civil Service Commission, as the joint secretariat of the Public Workforce Planning and Policy Making Committee, develops policies for creating a public workforce database, puts forward future workforce plans and draws up guidelines for the use of alternative employment arrangements to fill vacancies as a result of retirement. These arrangements provide more variety and flexibility, while cutting long-term personnel costs.
